Humber Avenue Community Allotments

From time to time the water supply at Humber Allotments may need to be turned off to prevent frost damage and burst pipes. This is unfortunately unavoidable and has been the policy since the opening of the allotments.

The toilet and wash facilities remain open, but clearly with no mains water, it is asked that the use of the toilets be restricted to a minimum. Please flush the toilet after use using the bucket provided. Please refill the bucket from the water trough on Plot 1.

 

We also ask that the orange buckets provided be used to wash your produce rather than the troughs themselves. This will hopefully reduce the need to clean the troughs so often.
